ULTRASONIC (PIEZO) RHINOPLASTY

Rhinoplasty is an operation aimed at improving the external appearance of the nose.
While rhinoplasty can be done with open or closed methods, I mostly prefer OPEN TECHNICAL rhinoplasty in my practice.
I am doing ULTRASONIC rhinoplasty. Thanks to ultrasonic sound waves, the rasping and cutting processes in the bone are more controlled, and the tissues other than the bone are less traumatized. Therefore, postoperative pain, swelling and bruising are less in surgeries performed with the PIEZO device.

We plan our surgery together with our patient. We evaluate the demands of our patients. We analyze the structure of the nose. With endoscopic nasal examination, we detect pathologies such as septum deviation, turbinate hypertrophy and polyps that cause obstruction in the nose preoperatively.
Although our main goal is to meet the expectations of our patient, we provide information about the possible results from the nose structure. If our patient's expectations and what we can do are correlate, we perform the surgery. During the surgery, the proportions on the face are taken as a basis and we design a personalized nose that is compatible with the face.

Rhinoplasty is an operation that requires meticulousness and sometimes operations can take 3-4 hours.
After the operation, you will be hospitalized for 1 night.
In the 1st week, we take out the intranasal silicone and the external splint.
I roughly divide the recovery into 3 period. It is the fast stage where we can return to work and social life for 7-10 days, the early stage where 60-70% of the edema is gone within 1-2 months, the shape of our nose is roughly formed, the late stage is the late stage where all the edemas are gone, and our final shape is formed in an average of 1 year.
